This classic Vanilla Ice Cream is creamy, smooth, and loaded with rich vanilla flavor. Made with simple ingredients, it’s a delicious treat for any time of the year.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups heavy cream chilled
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract pure
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Add the vanilla extract and salt, and mix well.
  • Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Transfer the ice cream to a lidded container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  • Serve and enjoy your homemade vanilla ice cream.

    Why do you need salt in ice cream? Seems weird to me. Didn’t really taste the difference. I’ll stick to store bought!
