A delicious and healthy turkey and asparagus dish cooked in a skillet.
1 lb ground turkey | |
1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces | |
1 small onion, diced | |
3 cloves garlic, minced | |
1 teaspoon dried thyme | |
1 teaspoon dried oregano | |
1 teaspoon paprika | |
1/2 teaspoon salt | |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper | |
1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth | |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1. | Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. |
2. | Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces. |
3. | Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is soft and translucent. |
4. | Add the asparagus pieces to the skillet and season with dried thyme, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper. |
5. | Pour in the chicken broth and stir to combine all the ingredients. |
6. | Cover the skillet and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender. |
