This Simple Ground Beef Stroganoff is a quick and easy dinner option, combining tender ground beef with a creamy mushroom sauce served over egg noodles.

Ingredients
  

  • 0.5 pound ground beef
  • 0.5 cup onion chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 4 ounces egg noodles cooked
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add chopped onion and sliced mushrooms, and cook until softened.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  • Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to coat.
  • Gradually add beef broth while stirring until the sauce thickens.
  • Reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream. Simmer gently without boiling.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the beef stroganoff over cooked egg noodles.

      I think maybe you overcooked it? The beef can get tough if you leave it too long. Also, did you use fresh mushrooms? That makes a difference!
