Ingredients

1 bunch broccoli rabe
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 can sardines
Salt and pepper to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

1.Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the broccoli rabe and cook for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
2.In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
3.Add the drained broccoli rabe to the skillet and sauté for 5-7 minutes, until tender.
4.Add the sardines to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until heated through.
5.Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
