Ingredients

2 pounds beef round steak
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 large onion, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1.Cut beef into serving-sized pieces.
2.In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, and black pepper. Dredge the beef pieces in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
3.In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add the beef pieces and brown on both sides. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
4.Add the sliced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
5.Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, basil, and oregano to the skillet. Stir to combine.
6.Return the beef to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 1 hour, or until the beef is tender.
7.Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
