Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded cheese Cheddar or a mix of your favorite cheeses
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 4 ounces diced tomatoes with green chilies Optional
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the evaporated milk and cornstarch. Whisk until the cornstarch is fully dissolved and the mixture begins to thicken.
- Gradually add the shredded cheese, stirring constantly until the cheese has fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Stir in the garlic powder and onion powder. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- If using, add the diced tomatoes with green chilies and/or jalapeno. Stir until well combined.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips or your favorite dippers.
