It’s the kind of dish that’s perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or as a flavorful side at a dinner party.
The base of Pineapple Fried Rice starts with day-old rice, which absorbs all the savory flavors of the seasonings and sauces. The rice is stir-fried with garlic, onions, and vegetables like peas, carrots, and bell peppers, giving it a colorful, crunchy texture. The real star, though, is the pineapple. Its sweetness balances out the savory flavors of the fried rice, while the slight caramelization that happens when it hits the hot pan adds a touch of richness.
To bring everything together, the fried rice is seasoned with soy sauce, fish sauce, and a hint of curry powder, which adds a warm, aromatic depth. You can also throw in scrambled eggs and cooked shrimp or chicken for extra protein and texture. For the ultimate flavor boost, finish with a sprinkle of fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice.
Pineapple Fried Rice is a wonderfully versatile dish. You can enjoy it as a stand-alone meal, or pair it with grilled meats, spring rolls, or a fresh green salad. The combination of sweet and savory, plus the fresh pop of pineapple, makes it a fun twist on traditional fried rice that’s sure to become a favorite in your kitchen.

It was okay, but I think the pineapple was too sweet for me. Maybe next time less pineapple?
This isn’t real fried rice! Where’s the soy sauce? Wait, there is soy but no bean sprouts, I think. Lol.
But it sure sounds good! I don’t mind the lack of bean sprouts if the flavors are there. 🥳
I agree! Where are the bean sprouts? This recipe feels incomplete. 🤔
Rice recipe? Ughhh. Too many steps. Can’t I just throw everything in one pot?
This is just fried rice with pineapple? It ain’t special! I prefer plain fried rice tbh. 😒
This was so delish! My kids loved it! Will definitely make again.
yum yum yum! My favorite dinner ever, never thought of putting pineapple! 10/10 would recommend.
Made it with leftover rice and it was pretty okay. Not sure I’d make it again. 😕
This was delish! The pineapple really makes it pop. My family loved it, thanks! 🌟
So easy to make! Even I, not a cook, did it! Haha. Thanks!

I had some leftover ham, added that in. Fantastic twist!
I’ve never thought of adding ham! That sounds awesome! I’ll try it next time. 😋
So easy to make! I just used whatever veggies I had in the fridge. Will do again for sure! 😊
Simply put, this is the best fried rice I ever made. Thanks for sharing!
I followed the recipe exactly but it turned out mushy. Sad face.
I couldn’t find oyster sauce, so I left it out. Still tasted great!
That’s awesome! I think the pineapple really adds enough flavor. Your rice must have been super tasty!
Pineapple in rice? That’s weird but I tried it and wow, I’m a fan now! Who knew!?
I can’t believe pineapple in rice could taste good! Gonna try it this weekend. Thanks for sharing your experience!
I follow the recipe, but I think it needs a lil more soy sauce. Got kinda dry. 🤔
