- 1 cup peanut butter creamy
- 1/4 cup butter softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet
- 2 tablespoons shortening
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine peanut butter, butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Shape the mixture into egg-shaped balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
- Freeze the eggs for about 15 minutes to firm up.
- Melt chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each peanut butter egg into the melted chocolate, turning to coat. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
- Place back on the wax paper and refrigerate until the chocolate has set.
