There’s something timeless about the combination of honey and mustard. It’s sweet but sharp, bold yet balanced. When brushed onto juicy chicken and baked to golden perfection, it creates a sticky, glossy glaze that clings to every bite and makes you go back for seconds (and maybe thirds). Honey Mustard Glazed Chicken isn’t just dinner, it’s comfort food with a bit of flair.
What makes this dish so special is its simplicity. The glaze comes together with just a few pantry staples: honey for sweetness, mustard for tang, a little garlic for depth, and olive oil to round it all out. Together, they form a rich coating that caramelizes beautifully in the oven or sizzles to perfection in a hot skillet. No need for complicated marinades or long prep times, this chicken practically cooks itself while you get the rest of your meal ready.
Whether you’re using thighs, drumsticks, or boneless breasts, the glaze works like magic. It locks in moisture and adds a bold flavor that elevates even the simplest piece of chicken. And the best part? It pairs with just about anything. Serve it alongside roasted veggies, mashed potatoes, a crisp green salad, or even over rice to soak up all that sweet-savory goodness.
Honey Mustard Glazed Chicken also plays well with weeknight schedules and picky eaters. It’s easy to scale up for a crowd or down for a solo dinner. It’s cozy enough for a quiet night in but flavorful enough to impress at your next dinner party.
If you’re tired of bland chicken and looking for something that feels a little more special, but without extra effort—this dish is your answer. It’s fast, flavorful, and guaranteed to make your kitchen smell amazing. One bite, and it’ll be in your regular rotation.

The chicken was dry after 30 mins at 425°F. Not sure what went wrong.
This was amazing! The glaze caramelized so well and the chicken was so juicy. Will definitely make again.
Just like mom used to make, but with more honey! Yum!
Yum! My kids gobbled it up. I used chicken thighs instead, and it was still super tasty!
the recipe is ok but it will never beat my grandma’s chicken. Also, who uses Dijon mustard anyway?
So easy to make! I added a bit of lemon juice for some zest. It was a hit with the family!
This only took me 30 min! i love how simple it is. 🍗❤️
What is Dijon mustard? Can I just use regular? Asking for a friend.
Yummy, but you forgot to mention how long to let it rest! I did 10 minutes and it was great.
Yum! Chicken is the best meat! I put even more honey in there. Love it so much.
Wow, this recipe is fantastic! The honey mustard glaze made the chicken so juicy and flavorful. Will make it again!
I totally agree! This glazed chicken is really something special. Also, don’t forget it pairs well with rice or some veggies!
Quick and easy! Perfect recipe for busy weeknights.
I tried this but my chicken came out kinda dry. Maybe I cooked it too long?
I totally agree! So quick and delish. Perfect for my crazy kids!
I tried this but I think I overcooked the chicken. It ended up dry and the glaze was burnt. Maybe I’ll try it on a lower temp next time.
Eh, I thought it was gonna be fancy, but it was just chicken with sauce. Kinda plain.
I think it’s all about the flavors, not the fancy stuff! This glaze is actually really good, you should give it a chance again. 👌
Plain? Nah, it’s a classic! But you could spice it up by adding some chili flakes or whatever. 😅
This was a hit with my family! The honey mustard flavor is amazing!
Very easy to make! I seasoned it with extra herbs and it turned out great.
Seems too simple, but I guess anyone can make it. Not really my thing.
I also added some chili flakes for a kick! It was delicious! Thanks for the recipe!
Epic fail. I burned it! I should’ve watched it better.
Not a fan of honey mustard but my partner loved it. I think I’m gonna stick to plain ol’ BBQ chicken.
Won’t make this again. The glaze was too sweet for my taste.
Great for a quick weeknight dinner! Super simple to make. Thanks for sharing!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! It’s one of my go-to recipes for busy nights.
It was okay, but the glaze was too sweet for my taste. Maybe less honey next time?
I added some cayenne pepper for a kick and it was amazing! Spicy & sweet! 🔥
I love honey mustard, and this recipe was delicious but too sweet for dinner, perfect for a lunch tho.
I totally agree! It’s a bit too sweet for me too, but I enjoy it more as a sandwich filling for lunch.
Absolutely delicious! My family loved it. Will definitely make again!
Hmmm, not sure if this is really that great. I mean, honey and mustard? Seems weird to me.
I made this last night too! So good! My kids also ate it all, can’t wait to make it again.
Why do you need to preheat the oven? Can’t you just put the chicken in right away? 🤔
Preheating helps cook the chicken evenly and makes sure the glaze caramelizes properly! You really should do it! 😊
I made this for a dinner party and everyone loved it! So juicy!
Easy and quick! Made this for my kids and they loved it. Definitely a keeper in our house.
I’m glad to hear your kids loved it! It’s super easy, right? I just made it last night too and was a hit with my family!
I tried this but it turned out kinda dry. I might have overcooked the chicken but it wasn’t great overall.
Not my favorite, I think the honey is too sweet for chicken. Maybe it’s just me.
I don’t like mustard so I skipped that part. Just used honey and it burned. Oops.
Maybe try a lower temp next time? Honey can burn easily. Glad you tried it tho!
Not impressed. The chicken turned out dry. I think I cooked it too long.
