Ingredients
  

  • 400 grams spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 400 grams canned tomatoes chopped
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

Instructions
 

  • Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  • Increase the heat to high and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
  • Stir in the canned tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, and basil. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Lower the heat to a simmer and cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
  • Mix the cooked spaghetti with the sauce and serve hot. Enjoy!
