Nothing quite beats the comforting indulgence of a warm, gooey Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie. It’s like your favorite chocolate chip cookie, but better, it’s baked in a skillet, giving it crispy edges, a soft center, and a melting pool of chocolate chips in every bite. Perfect for sharing (or not), this dessert is a simple yet show-stopping way to satisfy your sweet tooth.

The beauty of a skillet cookie lies in its versatility. With just a handful of ingredients like butter, sugar, flour, and plenty of chocolate chips, it comes together quickly and effortlessly. The skillet ensures that the cookie cooks evenly, giving you that golden-brown, slightly crunchy edge while keeping the middle soft and chewy, just the way a cookie should be.

One of the best things about this cookie is how customizable it is. Add a pinch of sea salt on top for a sweet and salty contrast, or fold in some chopped nuts for extra crunch. You can even serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, letting it melt into the cookie for a decadent treat.

Baking it in a skillet also means it’s easy to serve right from the pan, making it a perfect dessert for casual gatherings or a cozy night in. The aroma of freshly baked chocolate chip cookie fills the room, setting the stage for an indulgent, feel-good dessert experience.

My grandma made cookies like these but without chips. I think this recipe’s missing something – maybe some oatmeal? 🤷‍♂️

Not bad! But I think adding nuts would make it even better. Maybe next time I’ll do that.

I don’t understand how people think this is a real cookie. It was just a big mush in a pan, tastes ok tho I guess.

Delicious! Just like a big chocolate chip cookie! 😋 But I think it’s too sweet for my taste – maybe I’ll cut the sugar next time.

I followed the directions exactly, but it turned out too crumbly. What went wrong? I used whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose.

Whole wheat flour can absorb more moisture than all-purpose, which might be why your cookie came out crumbly. Maybe try adding a bit more butter or an extra egg next time!

I made this but it burned on the edges and was raw in the middle. What did I do wrong??

Choco chips in a skillet? Weird but I tried it and it works! A fun twist on normal cookies. Very chewy!

Why do you use brown sugar? White sugar is better. Just a personal preference!

This recipe is a total flop. I think it needs more brown sugar or something. Mine didn’t rise at all.

    1. 4 stars
I had the same issue! Maybe try adding an extra egg next time. That might help it rise better!

Idk, I think it’s fine as is. Mine turned out great, maybe you just mixed it too much?

I don’t know why this went wrong for me. The dough was way too sticky and wouldn’t spread out, it was a mess. 😩

I’m not a baker but it came out ok. I used margarine instead of butter… will that mess things up?

Honestly, I think it should have more baking time. Mine was raw in the middle even tho I followed the time… Disappointed.
