Chicken and Cabbage Skillet
A delicious and healthy chicken and cabbage dish that can be made in a skillet.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts boneless, skinless
- 1 cabbage head, small, shredded
- 1 onion thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional
- parsley chopped, for garnish, fresh
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the cabbage is wilted and tender.
- Slice the cooked chicken breasts and add them back to the skillet with the cabbage.
- Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
