Bird’s Nest Treats are delightful no-bake dessert snacks perfect for springtime festivities. They resemble little bird nests and are made with a combination of crunchy chow mein noodles and sweet melted chocolate, often topped with colorful candy eggs.
Ingredients
- 2 cups chow mein noodles Crunchy variety
- 1 cup chocolate chips Can use milk or dark chocolate
- 1/4 cup peanut butter Creamy peanut butter preferred
- 1 cup candy-coated chocolate eggs For decoration
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter together in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth.
- In a large bowl, combine the melted chocolate mixture with the chow mein noodles, stirring until the noodles are well coated.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop out small portions of the noodle mixture and shape into nests on the prepared baking sheet.
- Press three or four candy-coated chocolate eggs into the center of each nest.
- Allow the nests to set at room temperature or refrigerate them for faster setting.
