- 5 pounds potatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Peel and cut the potatoes into large chunks.
Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the heavy cream, butter, and sour cream. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
