- 1 cup peanut butter creamy
- 1/4 cup butter softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet
- 2 tablespoons shortening
In a large bowl, combine peanut butter, butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
Shape the mixture into egg-shaped balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
Freeze the eggs for about 15 minutes to firm up.
Melt chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
Dip each peanut butter egg into the melted chocolate, turning to coat. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
Place back on the wax paper and refrigerate until the chocolate has set.
