Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup peanut butter creamy
  • 1/4 cup butter softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet
  • 2 tablespoons shortening

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine peanut butter, butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Shape the mixture into egg-shaped balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
  • Freeze the eggs for about 15 minutes to firm up.
  • Melt chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Dip each peanut butter egg into the melted chocolate, turning to coat. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  • Place back on the wax paper and refrigerate until the chocolate has set.
