- 1 cup water preferably filtered
- 1-2 pieces cinnamon sticks use Ceylon cinnamon for best flavor
- 1 tsp honey optional, to taste
Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan.
Add the cinnamon sticks to the boiling water.
Reduce heat and let simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and let the tea steep for an additional 2 minutes.
Strain the tea into a cup and add honey if desired.
