Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour for the crust
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened, for the crust
  • 1/4 cup sugar for the crust
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans chopped
  • 3 large eggs for the filling
  • 3/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the flour, softened butter, and sugar until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake the crust for 15 minutes, or until lightly golden. Set aside to cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, bourbon, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  • Stir in the chopped pecans.
  • Pour the pecan mixture over the partially baked crust, spreading evenly.
  • Bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the filling is set and golden brown.
  • Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
